How do you know when you need to get your smartphone battery repaired or replaced?
Whether it’s removable, or permanently attached to the smartphone, batteries aren’t meant to last forever. With how connected we are to our phones, a dead battery can be among the most frustrating things that can happen during our busy everyday life. How do you know it’s time for a new battery?
Power only when the phone is plugged in
- In this case, your phone battery has gone bad so it can no longer hold a charge without a power source. Sometimes the phone will only power on when connected.
Your phone dies quickly
- Most smartphones are supposed to be able to have 10 hours of battery life but that often times isn’t the case. It depends on how you use your smartphone. Even with all the apps you use throughout the day, you’ll be able to tell when your battery is draining too fast.
Your phone gets too hot
- When you use too many applications at one time, your phone will heat up and get too hot. New battery technology makes it so the heat is internalized so you won’t feel too much excess heat. If your phone becomes way too hot to the touch, it may be time to swap batteries.
Your Phone is Completely Dead
- This can happen suddenly and for no other reason than dropping it one too many times. Other times, you may have dropped your phone in water and it was submerged for too long. Whatever it is, if your phone won’t turn on even when charged, it’s time to swap out your battery or get it repaired.
